I was wondering; can a KK-multicopter board be flashed with a firmware that can handle elevon airplanes? I'd like to build one these squalls and be able to hover it with gyro-stabilized thrust vectoring.

Looking at the squall I wonder if the thrust vectoring unit actually gives you not only yaw and pitch but also roll control. I know it should theoretically as the control surfaces are there but then it's got just one fan and the little paddles are so close together there may not be enough leverage for roll control to be effective. So my question is, how is your roll authority with the thrust vectoring equipped Squall at very slow airspeed and while hovering?

Each horizontal paddle is controlled independently by each elevon. I've seen it roll quite fast, but i think throttle was about 2/3rds.

IMHO the TV unit is a matter of perspective, if you want to experiment with a 3d edf then fine, overall the unit doesn't do that much but a good flip and a flat spin, reduces the output of the efflux. To me its a great gimmick but not worth the exaggerated prices of the TV unit let alone the linkage.
Tom
King do you have a link for RC-Castle squall page, I haven't found it there yet.

Lowkey, only if you glue it then you want to change it out for something with better performance. Try RTV

Still reading here for the motor setup I will use after a few flights with the stock setup

I am also taking a hard look at the Sunchange 10 blade rotor.

I am trying to find a shipping estimate to the United States of A...but they want me to register before I can even add it to my cart?

EDIT:
OK... made up a bunch of fake info so I could register...

Kit: $56 USD! Not bad..

EMS Shipping $53 USD. They're joking, right?
