Question
DT750 motor bearings

Does anyone know of a good quality replacement bearing for the Hobby King "hextronik DT750" motor. I had a bearing fail after the 7th flight on my quad.

My LHS has parts for Blade helis.
Part number EFLH1215 includes two 4x8x3mm bearings that work.

Thanks for this. I just discovered one of my DT750's running really rough and it would be great to be able to fix it quickly instead of just junking the part.

DT750 motor bearings

Thank you Wayne!
Just for kicks, I measured the bearing out of the DT-750, all the measurements line up with the description of the EFLH1215 except the I.D., I came up 3.86mm, they must consider this 4mm I.D.?

I measure the shaft OD at 3.96mm.
I cannot measure the ID of the old bearing.

newer dts are 4-8-3. older dts are 4-7-2.5s. you can get them at both bocabearing and vxb if you need more than couple.

Right on! I should have checked the O.D. first. Thanks again!

Just ordered a 4 pack of bearings (MR84-UU Radial Bearings) from Boca Bearing, $13.90 including shipping. The 4 pack is not on their web site, but I spoke with a gentleman named "Teddy" and he hooked me up.
Thank you Askman!

On the subject of DT750 parts, anyone know where to get the set screws that hold the motor into the mount?

Metric 3mm grub screws, aka "M3 x 3" or "M3*3"

Here's M3x4 (slightly longer) for $0.99: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6204

Or, these:

I swap all my grub screws out for M3x5. The wrench goes in deeper and resists stripping plus the locktite won’t fill up the end if you use too much.

I retapped mine to 6-32, but the originals are 3mm. longer ones work better.

for older ones, I believe the change in bearing happened last year. I have some from 3 years ago and they are all smaller bearing. (and curved magnet instead of flat magnet on the newer ones) I like the newer version because it has thicker tube/bigger bearing. I also like the curved magnet on the older bell though. when my old ones get retired, I will mix and match

Okay, because I was at work when I purchased 2 pairs of 4x8x3 bearings, and didn't have the ability to measure the motor in question.
