WAIT!!! Gotta love this quote on their website!

"The HK401B is known to have the same characteristics as the Futaba GY401. In fact we guarantee you wont know the difference!"

I bet I can show you all the difference hahaha

Speed Stick 3D:

Same price as Dealextream with shipping. Dealextream probably ships faster.

I wanted to get the GY48 from hobby parts, but they have been out of stock for a while.
Helidirect and RCsuper sales has them for $37.

unbelievably, HC has actually gotten it's act together and now ships within 2 days and frequently one.

once it's in the postal system, it takes 7 days to get to me.

never expected this to happen.

i love both stores

Just came back to this from searching for the "new" hobbycity gyro. I've been reading through the thread a little at a time.

I agree that they are shipping much faster. I placed two orders the last two weeks, one shipped in 3 days the other shipped the NEXT day. But it still takes 10 days to normally reach me.

Now back to reading.

Okay, let us know please. Atleast I am very intrested on that speedy.

Anybody have a xmhobbies g401b hooked up on a futaba radio system?
Gyro goes cookoo when i have it setup on 50. And it stop waggin on 10.
Telebee gyro is on my heli now and its hovers on 50 and tail holds on that
ammount, i even added more gain. Telebee is working for me. I think xmhobbies g401b is not compattible with the new Futaba 8fg radio.
Gyro works on my spektrum dx6i and not on futaba 8fg radio. Damn.

Settings

Condition normal on
type: GY AVCS

Rate 60

This settings is perfect for telebee

Now for g401b

rate 60 is tooooo much, and on rate 10 tail wag stopps but the gyro is not holding the tail.

Anybody using g401b on a futaba radio if so whats the settings you using????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????

Not running Futaba, but I did have similar issues with the g401b.
Narrowed it down to two possibilities, either too much vibration or possibly a noisy BEC. A Spartan ds760 was able to handle the same setup.
After eliminating the vibes and changing to a different BEC the g401b worked perfectly. Not sure which of the two things did the trick.

I placed my last order from HC on Friday at 5pm, EMS shipping, and it was delivered Monday at 11am.

For some off reason, it only spent 2 minutes in customs in Los Angeles. usually, customs is a 2-3 day process...

Yeah, HC has been shipping things alot faster now days!! makes me happy, I just placed like 3 orders from them and they all shipped out within 2 days one of them was EMS express and the other 2 were just registered air mail. It took about 5-6 days even more for my registered ones to be packed in the past!!

I have ordered a couple from a Hong Kong seller five days ago from fleabay, I guess it will be another week before I see them, although I have had stuff arrive from Hobby King within five days before.
I seem to remember it saying v2 on the add, has it been improved then?

If it's not then I'm a Monkey's Uncle! They even spelled the word Gyro "GYRD".

Buy it knowing it's the same thing I say.
Mine is no longer Mine, I sold it to a friend who is a student but I'll see it weekly. I still have a 2nd one but It's not on anything right now.
I'm happy to report that it has VERY little drift and is holding REALLY well. My student started on a Blade 400 and it's stock stuff. He's tickled pink with the EXI 450 I set up with him and he was commenting how well the tail was holding for him today.

I'm sure all these gyro's come from the same factory in China - they drop into a giant box at the end of the line by the 1000's to get sent to different places where they get their different labels and packaging. I think the quote "same guts" applies to these!
