Actually, I find the two rear tailboom lights really help me navigate but yeah, the white helps too. I havn't had as much flight with this one as I'd like to.....too windy lately. The weekend is looking busy but I may have to 'make time'. |

Now that you got me thinking about it, yeah, lights as a whole really do help. I'm still sort of new to 'lights' and having just put them on my big lama, I really do watch the lights on both my LED helis.
I picked up some of those 'glow sticks' on clearance from Halloween, not sure what I'll do with them yet but I know it'll be fun! Quote:

Taking my bird for a walk
I decided to try something different at the gym using my modified CX3. I walked around the perimeter of the gym while keeping my bird about at the height of my right elbow and about two feet away. Of course I then moved on to walking my bird in a variety of patterns across the gym. Next week, close order drill! Just kidding. Why should I stand in one spot while the bird has all the fun?

Hey guys, what would happen to a CX3 if a tail boom was say 3" longer? How would that affect flight characteristics?

![]() ![]() which essentially means: you have to change the COG back ... which means weight in the front (or an extension of the front (as I doubt you could "cure" the problem by just moving the battery further forward) ) ... and that just would mean more weight (and maybe slower reactions ... or not, I never tried (and doubt I will )Sven |

I just bought a used CX3 off ebay from that massive seller that has a used one for sale about every hour. This is my first heli. I have been flying them on the sim for a while. I got it in the mail and tried it out and have some questions since this is my first. I watched a guy at the LHS fly a MCX around and he could let it hover using no hands on the Transmitter. Should the CX3 be able to do this? I have had it in a hover in a large open room but it seems to always require me to be on the stick. I am getting a little movement from the tail in one direction, i try to trim then it will move the other way, I am auctually getting little movement in forward/backwards/left and right, I trim one and it will move the other way. Its very small and can be controlled. It seems like the servos are not centering when realeased if thats possible?
If it should hover as easy as that MCX then I missing the setup. All I have is the stock battery right now which does not last very long, are there any good upgraded batteries that will fit? Is there a Volatge cutout on these like on airplanes? |

Today I think I will be putting my cx3 back to stock shafts, and leaving the res the same as it is now.
