Just saw this on my Facebook feed this morning. Very interested! I have a Champ that has been my faithful flying companion for 3 years and this looks like a very good companion to it.

I have the regular Sport Cub as well and it would be great to have its baby sister

The CC Cub is similar and is more interesting for me.
Looks better, has Flaps, Lights, and with 2S brushless enough power for acrobatics.

I've been eyeing this plane as well.
It's like a giant version of the Champ…..rudder and elevator, but no ailerons.

The Sport Cub S is special the same way the Champ is special. It. Flies. Awesome.

Comparing to the UMX Carbon Cub, they are two completely different flying experiences. The key difference is wing loading, and of course SAFE and the AS3X tuning play a big part. But mostly wing loading. The Sport Cub S is just sooooo relaxing and easy for anybody to fly, whereas the Carbon Cub requires more of a pilot's touch.

Personally i find the CC very relaxing and easy flying and need also not the SAFE stuff but with the same wingarea like the CC and 57g should it in the Champ wing load range. But Champ power was near 1:1 which i prefer even with only 3 Channel.
Ok maybe I'm interested but only for a motorglider Mod with XXL Wings from spare parts a little over 1m wingspan should give a UMX Radian wing load

This is an obvious step up for the people who have mastered the Champ. The Carbon Cub flies very well, but too much "scale" and a beginner would easily stall it on a landing approach, break the prop adapter... The 4-channel ultramicro warbirds are also too radical coming from a Champ.

I am buddy boxing the Champ with my 5 year old. This will be next step when he turns 6.

This looks great.I've been waiting for a micro cub type/champ plane with ailerons to come out for a while. The CC didn't fit the bill for the type of flying I wanted to do from the videos i've seen.I wanted a slower lighter wing load plane 1s 150 mah type lipo like my old champ but with ailerons. This is perfect. Thanks Hobbyzone.
