Digging through my covering supplies, I found enough Super Coverite to cover the Mono.

The cowl still needs to be fitted, so I didn't cover it.

Looks really nice Tom. Man, those barn door ailerons give meaning to the term, don't they?

Thanks, Earl.

The ailerons are probably larger than scale. They were built, as they are, as a matter of convenience. The rear wing spars are provideing the trailing edge, at that area. If I wanted to make them smaller, more engineering would have been necessary.

My friend, Terry, calls them 3D ailerons. He's not far from wrong.

I'll use reduced throws, and everything should turn out OK.

I appreciate the offers to help, but I'm satisfied with what I have. Keep your stuff for a project more worthy than this one.

I wish I could design anything in 3D so you could 3D-print it

I had no idea you were that close to covering! That is a sweet looking plane there. If you had said nothing, I wouldn't have known about the ailerons being the "wrong" size. Looks right to me

You may have mentioned, but what colors are you thinking about?

Thanks guys.

It took around 8 hours to cover the Monoprep. The Super Coverite is very easy to work with.

I still have some "fiddling" to do with the covering.

The Mono wil have orange wings and stab, with a black fuselage,

The plan, right now, is to use Rustoleum aerosol cans. I sprayed a 1/4 scale Piper L-4 with it last year, and it came out great.

Nope. No paint, just yet. The History Channel had some good programs on, Sunday evening. I was watching them.

I may buy the paint today, though.
