Shockwave 26" BL Deep-V RTR

Pro Boat's latest design

Splash

A deep-v design for choppy waters

Pro Boat's newest boat, the Shockwave BL Deep-V, is a 26" fiberglass layup hull powered by a Dynamite 2000kv brushless motor and up to a 3s LiPo through the included 30a waterproof esc. The hull design is similar to full-scale offshore boats, giving it a little better handling in the chop.

Perfect for sport boating or spec class racing, the Shockwave 26" BL Deep-V RTR is capable of speeds around the 30 mph mark, and comes with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMR transmitter and adjustable trim tabs. Judging by the photos and manual, the hatch seals water out, and no radio box or tape is used. The hatch attaches in the rear with two aluminum knurled fasteners.

I don't think it does, but you never know with that tall hull draft.

When they flip, do they sink quickly or do they generally stay afloat for a while? Just getting into RC boats.

They should trim it out it's blowing water not riding on the water right , to me the fiberglass hull would add extra weight and less speed . jmo

Put a few small blocks of Styrofoam inside.

I also always tape the hatch shut as well. Taping prevents water from coming in as well when it flips. It also prevents the hatch from flying off the boat in a hard crash or flip. I lost a boat to not taping the hatch and learned an expensive lesson, hopefully other's won't have to.

I flipped my shockwave 26 a few times and the hatch and secondary hatch seal very well. I swam to it both times and it was flipped for probably a good minute and it hardly had any water. Proboat makes excellent designs when it comes to hatch seals

also, does anyone know is this just a new color, or is the hull actual different... I am thinking of selling my quantum aquaholic and getting one of these, simply because I like the color better, green is my favorite color..... Just curious on the handling though... my aquaholic handles great IMO... though it is my first fast electric... my previous boat experience includes a pro-boat mini-V and a FT007

Different props and top speed?

Has anyone experimented with different props on this boat? I got the 1.6 metal prop and only noticed a difference in my holeshot. I am looking for something to help my topend without burning up my ESC.
