One of my current racers

Attached find a boat that has proven to be fast in our club races,
and hopefully in Marblehead if I don't have any electronic issues.
In our Local Spring Regatta I placed 6th out of 16, placing behind
nation champions and real experienced rc sailors. The boat is a
CR914, 6.25 lbs, 650 sq in sail area, and very nimble. The picture
is a close reach in light breeze. guess the pic didn't want to load,
try again

Hope you all got to enjoy this Memorial Day weekend. The reason for the holiday really hit me this year. No specific reason, just did.

Photo is my Victor V-32 on Norris Lake in Tennessee.

Was doing a little research on RC boats with Genoa set ups and found this video of a Sprinta in some very significant wind. I've seen their original video which is impressive, but this one shows how well this boat can handle noticeably heavier weather.
Enjoy

Now that the weather is improving around here, some of us are trying to get together on Wed. for fun sailing EC-12's, but anybody's welcome.
Today our commodore showed up with a 80" AC boat that belonged to a past
member of our club-that spinnaker set up is just amazing. We had very light air
but that was OK for a trial run...

My favorite boats to sail. IOMs and RG65s. Sailing on the water at Hansen Dam, in beautiful, warm, and sunny Southern California.

Thanks for that posting. Great to see that Matt is still around us and probably enjoying the fun. He took great pleasure in demonstrating that boat and it's capabilities. Somehow, I imagine he is in the middle of some really neat build at the moment - probably a new Santa Barbara. I sure hope so.

Here is one of the yacht mary beth. A 50" on deck scale model of the boat my great grandfather bought in 1934 and was eventually sold to my grandfather who sailed her until 1965. My dad built this model for his father. A link for more history http://yachtmarybeth.com/Home_Page.php

Having made the spinnaker for Rich Matt's US 32, it was wonderful to see it carried on the boat again. Thanks for posting. Rich's depth of dedication to the sport is something that we will likely wait a VERY long time to ever see again.
