Wow, thanks for the video Wobisch! I'm amazed your dolly tracks so straight until liftoff. What power configuration are you using?

Very interesting. It is the same power system I'm running in my F-16 build. I've been testing a bit with various 12x? props and have a few 13x? around but with the smaller size I'm a bit concerned about torque roll. I need to get some thrust numbers (maybe this weekend), but it is good to know I can get over 1.5:1 thrust to weight with the 14x8. If I can get over to 1:1 with a 12x10 I'll be pretty happy

What do you think your top speed is with the 13x6.5?

Don't know. For me it is fast enough to fly a bit scale. Sound is good, don't like the noisy sound of smaller props. Some of the flyby's in the video are full throttle.

GensAce 4000 mAh Lipo does not get fried even if I fly a longer section with full throttle. I will stay with 13x6.5. If I would change I would first try a 13x8.

Thrust table above is from Hobbyking. Did not measure it myself.

Did you see HerskerHans' SU Project. I believe he had two of these motors in the back.

No... haven't seen that project. That is a lot of motor...

I'm running 5000mAh nanotech packs and I think they'll hold up... Lower C rating than yours but hopefully 50C burst will cover it.

I know what you mean about the noise of the smaller props though. I ended up pulling the sound system as even on full volume I can't hear it over the prop.

I'm wrong. He used two 4248-650KV NTM engines with 11x7 or 11x8

Ahh... that thread. Yeah... Crazy big bird. I love it.

I may end up putting two of these in the big F-14. When I wrap up the F-16 my wife has demanded I finish the 14 next. You know it has been a long build when your wife can't stand the sight of it in your shop any more

Fun with the camera! I can only imagine what kind of footage you would have gotten with 2 F-18s in formation!
