Fixing motor with motor mount

Hi Guys,

Regarding fixing this motor with a motor mount can someone suggest which one will fit my motor- keeping in mind the main barrel is what rotates and needs to be unobstructed.

Thanks,

It`s a boat, maybe something like this could work: Alloy_Motor_Mount_for_Boat_1pcs_bag_.html

Something in this style? http://www.hobbyexpress.com/aluminum..._1365_prd1.htm

or maybe you can modify one of these: http://www.hobbyexpress.com/horizont...s_748_prd1.htm... a beam mount seems ideal for a boat!

A piece of aluminum angle stock with a few well-placed holes would do the trick.

First of all, try to get rid of the cardan joint. These things never spin true at high RPM.
Best solution is to remove the motor shaft, and make the prop shaft longer, so that it replaces the motor shaft. Of course, the diameter of both shafts needs to match. But you will get no nicer running system than with this kind of setup.
If this should not work, replace the cadan joint with a joint having a piece of rubber in the middle, these things run very nice as well.

To fix the motor, buy a piece of FR4 material. These are glas fibre sheets normally used for PCBs or such. 1.5-2mm will do.
Cut a triangle with a round edge at the top, and make holes for the shaft and fixing bolts. Connect the motor, adjust angle and position,a nd glue to the hull with thickened epoxy.

This works particularly well with an aluminium flange.

Here are several images:
