Contest
SCSR F3F 7/28....Pt. Fermin!

Racers,

Our next scheduled event is one week from today and is scheduled for Pt. Fermin.
I have been made aware that there is a "Music by the Sea" event being held the
same day and there will be BIG crowds and stages set up very near to the grass
pit areas. It will be extremely crowded with people and traffic.

I am trying to secure White Point and if that does not happen by Thursday or Friday
of next week, I will elect to postpone the event to the following weekend.

Stay tuned for updates as we get closer.....

Your CD....

Is either WP or PB a good place for someone to fly "new to them" equipment. I have acquired a Cyril and have yet to fly it and have no other plane. I want to fly but may be best to get some stick time with the new plane at Vincent or Parker first

PB is new to almost everyone so not a big disadvantage to fly something new there. If the contest is held @ WP you've got a big baseball field to land on.

But having said that, I did manage to lawn dart my plane @ WP in spite of the huge landing field.

I have been in contact with the event coordinator for the "Music by the Sea" event and have been
informed there will NOT be any extra stages setup in the park other than the permanent structure
at the other end of the park by the restrooms.

That being said, that leaves us with the option of flying on Saturday.
I have also been in contact with the field superintendent at White point
who will be getting back to me this evening with availability for Sunday.

Stay tuned....
