Question
my ford f 150

I have recently bought a ford f-150 raptor svt 1:10 scale 2WD and i am thinking about upgrading the motor, battery and speed control. I only want to spend about $350 maybe $400 max. any ideas?? thanks.

That is a huge budget for upgrades. If your going to spend that much, you might want to go brushless and lipo.

The new sv3 combo from castle can be had for a little over 100 dollars. Smc or spc lipos offer great performance at low prices. That would leave plenty of money in your pocket for a good charger.

Which truck is it? Is it the Traxxas one? If so, look into the traxxas power system upgrades.

2400kv motor and mamba monster 2 would really make that truck rock if its possible but i feel like your gonna have to go with the sv3

Yeah I think I will have a go with the sv3. When I was looking into the mamba monster 2 I found out it was mainly built for speed.

The 2400kv is a 3s to 4s motor. Hardly runs on 2s and the torque would make a 2wd undriveable on anything besides the street. Not to mention how heavy that setup would be with the 550 motor and a honkin 4s battery in there.

Check out oaks racing rustler build on the traxxas forums. He's currently in the process of finding a replacement for his 2400kv setup.
