I got an Enya .41 4 stroke diesel a few years back. Checked the head bolts and were tight. Left of the valve cover and ran the engine. I think a 12/7 prop. Takes about 13 flips of the prop to start when cold. I have never used a starter with this engine. Followed the instructions for starting and no problems. Ran on the test stand but have not flown it in a model at this time. Run with and without the muffler and can not tell the difference in noise. My first 4 stroke. Jack

Hummm, it makes one wonder if the pitiful Deezil engine was derived from the Leesil or the Dyno now.

I need to go back and check my Deezils again and see if I can get one to work or not.

Schlosser 0.5 cc R/C TBR

Superb construction. Incredibly well mannered. A future classic?

Fiery, nice engine. Yes, a little jewel.
What size prop and rpm.
Have you looked at the porting? Very modern.
You don't want to have any accidents with that jewel, no longer in production.

Schlosser 0.5 cc

The little engine is dwarfed by my test stand.

I used a JXF 7x4 black composite propeller as shown above. This prop is at the large end of recommended sizes.

Top RPM - 8,400 steady with the R/C carb and exhaust collector ring fitted.

I run an APC 7x3 on my Schlosser 0.5 RC in a Vic Smeed Mamselle, a great combination.
I keep everything clean with a length of tube as well, does knock a few rpm off, but not too bad.

Thanks Fiery, that’s a lot of prop for .5 cc, but then you have the torque.

Warren, your Mamselle is a great looking model…now that’s another model to add to my list!

#3248 continued:

I heated, loosened and dismantled the poor old WAF, to find a set of fairly good internals....
Cyl/piston unit is in good shape, as is also the crankshaft.
Someone seem to have filed (!) on the conrod, but not in a serious way, as far as I can see....I think I could just grind/polish it back to a decent look...
The NVA is not original, but an early Webra Record unit (Hey Gossie, this is good news for you..!)

Luckily I have a few WAF parts lying around...in fact just the few bits that I need to make this engine a decent "runner", and not too bad looking...

Gluehand, what a champion you are.
Thanks VERY much for your email, I really appreciate it.
How lucky are you also to have the correct WAF one to replace it.
I'll get something together here to send it to you in exchange. No idea what at this stage.

Yep, this was all blessed by some luck, in more than one way....
When estimating that i MAY be able to fix the engine, I took the chance by purchasing the old sad C/L-model with the likewise sad WAF in its nose....
And what a luck (!) when I realised I have JUST the handful of parts required for a restoration....and the "non-original" NVA happened to be a complete Webra unit, now finding a good home in Australia...
Is this what some would call a "divine flow"...?

Now....er, finding an original spinner nut for the WAF....I know...hen's teeth territory , but I post some info in the "part's" thread in case of extreme luck...

Now, I know all this has been posted before guys, but I've had a private message asking about the Enya 41 4 stroke Diesel, so thought it easier just to re-post the following articles...........

We have seen these Brazilian engines before I think, but not in (what appears to be here) a twin ball race version - at your favorite on line auction site now !
