The MOTROLFLY DM-2205 comes ready to go. You have the choice between 1380kv or 1800kv. Cheaper than E-flite, better quality and $2 shippping. It looks like they bolt right up to the stock mount. 3MM shaft too so it's easier to get adapters.

Can you measure the X brace holes while you have it all apart? If it's 29.5mm the MOTROLFLY DM-2205 is a direct replacement.

26mm so it's not a direct fit. However the Hextronic/Blue Wonder IS a direct fit since it fits perfectly in the stock 280 X mount. I just tried it. I have the 2200vkv, but I'm ordering a 1300kv for sure.

That looks like a great cheap option. My only concern is that a 9x4.7 on 3s only gives it 480g thrust. So when you drop to a 7-8" prop I'm guessing you won't even be at 2 to 1 ratio. How long does 2Dog take to get you the product?

Why would you drop to a 7"? You'll have to keep it at either 8"or 9" or there isn't a reason to change to a 1300kv. Just looking a an alternative to the P280 since I have little faith that either of my new ones will last....

I just checked my tracking for my replacement motor and it'll be here Thursday. I'll wait and see how it fairs before I order a 1300kv Hextronic.

Lots of options few u try driffrent motors props and post the data try keep up with number offlights and what batts were used. Wish i could be in on it but dont even have my plane yet

I'm pretty sure it's the 24g 1700kv blue wonder. Looking at the prop specs it should do great on 2s or 3s lipos. The price is right, especially if it's a drop in fit.

If that ends up being a direct fit it could be THE motor for this plane. If like to try that 8040 setup with a bigger ESC!!

You should have it in couple days Jeff at headsup is a great guy if it turns out to be a good motor i wont have any issues ordering from him i got mymotor out of my yak wow its long behind the motor. I still dont see a kv on it i might make a plate for the plane and try it i flew with a 9x4.7 on yak might have grab one my fathers glacier 450mah packs to try on it. Need check amp n watts never have
