Thanks Bob for supporting the Fresno contest and our hobby! If you look close, Aaron is holding a $500.00 check from Soaring USA. It pays to fly an Xplorer in more ways than one.

Congrats to Aaron on his win! The new field is a great place to fly, and I had a blast with all the people at the event. I hope Ed is feeling better today and wish him well. I will be there again next year and hope to see everyone who was there and perhaps a few who weren't. To those of you who weren't able to attend this year.....You missed a great one! I want to thank all the crew who made the event as great as it was. Ed Stewart

Does anyone have the final scores?

Thanks to the Fresno guys! It Hasn't been an easy few weeks for them leading up to this contest but once things got going everything went smooth. Challenging conditions and non stop wind. I don't know about everyone else but I had ballast in for every single flight of the weekend. Thanks to SoaringUSA for all the support they contribute to r/c soaring and I was happy to be on the winning end of a 1 point difference between 1st and 2nd with my Xplorer. Congrats to all the winners and I can't wait for next year!

Congrats to Aaron! He and Jason both flew a great contest and I think they were the only ones that did not drop at least a little bit of time because of the difficult windy conditions. Andy and Joe were not too far back and flew very well too, but those paying attention knew it was Jason with Aaron on his tail going into the last round. Ed had made that announcement over the PA mid-day Sunday really putting the spotlight and pressure on Aaron who was the top man flying a Soaring USA plane (Xplorer) which qualified him for the $500 award if he could overtake Jason and win. Aaron hit some excellent landings and precision time on Sunday to narrow the already close point spread and ultimately win by just one point.

Fresno put on a great event under trying circumstances. I really liked the landing and scoring scheme this year. It was a good balance of needing to be precision in both landing close AND landing on time. I liked this better than the landings where there is a huge point penalty for missing a zone separation line by an inch; so huge of a penalty that being precision on time takes a back seat.

Thanks Fresno, Soaring USA, and Horizon Hobby. I almost got that middle of the pack Radian.

Kieth looks like he is really into launching his glider.
Lost the picture, I'll try to post it later.
