The outrunner motor in the category of 2205 (or 300 class) size with KV1500 + prop 8 x 4. But you need to add reinforcements to its wing brace as this airplane was designed to be powered by tiny IPS power system originally, while the brushless system generates far more thrust than the IPS ones. And you still have to raise up the trailing edge of its main wing by 1/8" owing to the same reason.

Mr. Chen is exactly correct about bracing the wing. I set up my GWS J-3 Cub for outdoor flying, where I could fly it faster than for indoors. The wing required a V-brace, as does the full-size Cub.
Also, for the faster outdoor speed, you'll need to raise the wing trailing edge a full 1/4" (6MM) or more. That was my experience with my Cub.

Here's two of my GWS J3 Cub videos, before and after brushless conversion.
It has about a 35 gram brushless motor and I still had to mount the battery on top of the cowling to get the CG right so if you go with a smaller motor you'll have to shift the battery forward.
