F-35 wood kit build.
Not entirely sure if this build should go here since its a kit and not a scratch build. This is my first kit build ever...the kit is an f-35 made of wood, no foam here. Not sure who made the kit but it was originally designed for an .18 size glow fan. The dimensions are 30 inch wingspan and fuse length of 40 inches. Not sure what size fan I'm going to use, not to mention the esc,battery etc so opinions and thoughts would be great. As far as gear, the.kit wants fixed but I'm going to put retracts in it. I'm thinking of retracts from the hobby lobby f-18. Let me know if you have any opinions or thoughts. Thanks and I'm sure this is going to be.a great first time kit build and I'm looking forward to it. I will post pics later today after the race.

Here's what I got done today after just building a few hours. Work will also be slow since my right arm is in a cast for the next several weeks.

A company called oakdale aircraft. I never heard of them before. The kit must have been made before my involvment in rc

it might be too small to carry the batts 6s or 8s is what is used for most 90mm fans ...i just posted a TJ 90mm fan forsale in the classifieds.

Well its been awhile since I started this, doing some physical therapy after surgery on my wrist. I'm guessing this will be a long project. Nothing really to post either, just did a little on it today.

I'm an aerospace student from University of Hertfordshire and super interested in building an F-35B! but having some trouble getting my hands on some plans, which is stopping me from going any further at the moment. I was hoping if you could point me in the right direction on where you cross sections of the F-35B from. Hope to hear back. Simon. |
