Need some decent pickup tires

I'm looking for some new tires for my 3/4 ton 4wd pickup. Sometimes I haul a lot so range E is needed. Looking for a traction tire with mild lugs that won't immitate a train coming down the road. Size: 245-75-16 radials.

The ideal unit would be one which wears well on gravel/rock roads, low noise, and doesn't separate belts before the tread is gone. Oh....price is important too.

Thanks

Al

Al:
I run 2 K2500 GMC pick-ups, both loaded near max (8600 GVW), and I've been very happy with Firestone Steeltex A/T (all terrain)in load range E. I've never had a seperation (these are NOT the same tires Ford used on the Explorer!), and usually get about 100,000 km. (62,000 mi.) from each set. One of the trucks is used on muddy, rough jobsites daily, and the other tows a 27' travel trailer, and sees many miles of logging roads and firetrails each year, so they are not babied. Road noise is a barely noticable hum at 110 km/hr, and traction is good both on and off road.
My $.02
Brad.

P.S. The work truck has about 700,000 km. on the clock, the other almost 200,000 km., so I've used a few sets of these tires!

I put a set of Toyo AT's after having Goodyears on my 3500 Crew Cab Chevy Diesel. They are working out great, lower road noise and are wearing better than my Goodyears. I've got 160,000 miles on the truck and been through three sets of Goodyears. The price was better on the Toyo's with the same milage so I figured... why not???
