Year, it works pretty good
I've had quite a few hours in air with the latest version and haven't had any problems. Absolute_zero have around 20 hours in air with version 0.14 and 5 hours with version 0.16

Have you had the time to use it?

Dennis,

I was about ready to put the OSD into the Gentle Lady ~ was doing loops with the gopro and one of the wing tips blew off ~ found the tip about 2000 feet away in a neighborhood !!!! Not much damage - just "time" to rebuild -

However, my kids bought me a Sky Surfer for my b-day....putting that together right now ...... The weather is warming up... so I need to get in the air somehow real soon !!

Thanks for posting those videos.....keeps me motivated to get into those clouds !!!

Rick

Thanks, great to see it in action
All the numbers you have all over the place, is that on purpose? Looks quite different from the default config-settings.

Those are for debugging purposes of FY protocol. Stil need a lot of work but AH is working good.
I notticed that horizont does not roll when plane is upside down and needs some way to see where sky is.

I've updated the software. I've only had suggestions from Absolute_zero, so it's pretty much the feedback from him that have been fixed/improved/implemented.
  • Fixed - Barometer-altitude was hanging when starting above 100 meter (noticed this due to a mistake, surprised no-one else have noticed )
  • Added - Lowpass filter on mah/km reading, to give more stable and smooth readings (alpha-value can be set in config-file)
  • Added - New timer-options. Timer can be reset based on speed and current. Speed is the default setting
  • Summary-options have been added, to avoid summary shows before the plane have been airborne. With the default settings, itīs detected based on speed.
  • Added - The temperature readout from BMP085 can be disabled
  • Fixed - The dot in the GPS-coordinates missed a shadow.
  • Added - Support for 10Hz GPS with MKT have been added. Please note that it have not been tested (must be enabled in config)
  • Added - Option to connect a button, to a digital pin. Only used to set home-position (same routine as used when button is connected to RSSI)
  • Small change to avoid artificial horizon to mess with flight-summary

Feedback is much appreciated

Iīve updated the description.
But it is only used to reset home-position. Absolute_zero needed both RSSI and a button to reset home-position.

Regarding artificial horizon:
  • There is no mark where level horizon is (degree scale is even more but not critical)
  • Horizon doesn't rolls more than 180 degrees and not showing upside down state.
  • Not possible to tell where UP is when plane will be upside down if previous will be implemented.

Year, it doesnt work above 180 degrees atm
It is not really meant to be used for aerobatic, and in generally the artificial horizon havenīt been updated since first implementation.
