so how do you like it and did you compare it to the 9053 before purchasing it?

from lookin at with my 9053 and this 9101 is almost the same heli...SAME EXACT FRAME LOL (just painted black) THEY MUST OF SEEN HOW GOOD MINE LOOKED...i c a few minor different things like...the lading bars looks diff. the canopy is def diff. the rear tail wing is choppeed off so the rear blades can be (upgraded larger) and its shape is diff. they may of shortend the length of this heli by lowering that rear tail. MY 9053 IS 27inches. stock...they could if Syma hadnt already made the 9101 about 25inches....but i c that Syma did NOT fix the lower blade to where the seperation between the A-blade and B-blade r farther apart...(us 9053 guys just flipped the bottom blade grips) to increase blade strike. BUT from what i can c just by lookin at Pics EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME...o wait...under the description on the XHeli.com the 9101 says"-Advanced intelligent balance system and-New digital full 3 Channel control remotely-Full function: up/down, forward/backward, turning left and right, fixed-point hovering...SO I WOULD DEFINITLEY GET THIS NEW 9101 FOR SURE! IF U CAN FIND ONE IN STOCK!

Hope this helps.

Heres the link that i got the helicopter from http://www.xhobbystore.com/9101-helicopter-b9101.html

I love it because its new, and i see some carbonfiber parts, i love carbonfiber glasses, they look very cool. And yes, its very much the same as 9053. ANd its black. Thats the one point i love too.

This 9101 is little bit bigger than the 9053. 9053 is only 25.5inch, and this one is 27.9inch. The good thing is You can get every parts for 9053, and theres no parts for this new one yet. wanted to buy another set of blade just in case i break it. I LOVE THIS ONE BETTER>

Hey will that awesome canopy fit on my 9053??? Ehh carbonfiber don't go well with the non-cf frame but that's just me...its the only carbonfiber piece on the whole heli lol just to say it has cf is silly. Y don't they make the whole frame carbonfiber? Then it would look good! Just my 2 cents though. Lol

I would like to know how this heli is performing for you, also if you know if any of the parts from the 9053 is interchangable as well. Due to I will be purchasing a 9101, hopefully at the end of next week, granted I can locate one. I also would like to purchase extra parts at my initial order, like extra main blades ect.

Double Horse 9101

I bought one a couple of months back from Xheli. Good service as always from Xheli, but I'm terribly disappointed in the performance of the 9101. Even in the fast mode, its forward and backward speed is at a snails pace, if at all. Outside, with any sort of breeze, it won't even move forward. On another forum, it was suggested that you glue some Syma S107 blades to the tail blade, which I did but got no improvement in forward speed, maybe even worse. They also suggested upgrading to a brushless N20PN tail motor, which I plan to do. Such a shame; the 9101 looks really good, it seems to be quite stable, and handles well. If only it would move a little.

You can get it from ebay for around $70-90. I personally would stay away from this model, just saying. If you really insist on getting a large double horse model, then try the 9104.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the recommendation. Is 9104 the newest model from Double Horse ?

Yes, but it's not a coaxial. There's a topic for it in another forum, the beginner-training area:
