While it is not the Pro version I did assemble a AVA-EF about a year ago. Here is the build thread.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1488024

Motor: Neu 1110/1.5Y/5.2
ESC: ICE50 Lite
Battery: 3s A123 2300 (Also has a 2s A123 1100 for Rx)

Servos:
Flaps - HS-85MG
Rudder - HS-5065MG
Elevator - HS-5065MG

With all the battery weight I have up front I have had to add about 1/4 oz to the tail to balance. Total weight is 61 oz and I don't remember what prop I am using but power is ~360 watts and it takes about 20-25 seconds to make it to 200m.

Here is the setup I am using in my AVA 4-Flap:
Motor: Hacker B-40 10L 4.4:1 gearbox
Prop: AeroNaut 16 X 8
ESC: Castle ICE Lite 100
Battery Thunder Power 1800 mah 3S
Servos:
Rudder, Elevator MKS DS6125
Ailerons HiTec HS-5125
Flaps JR DS 378

Climbs to 200m in about 24-26 seconds.

I had a couple of problems in assembling mine:
1 - The vertical fin did not mate properly with the tailboom; the tailboom was too large in diameter.
2 - The wings did not mate properly with the fuselage; the spacing between the holes in the wings was considerably different than the spacing of the bolt holes in the wing pylon.
3 - The wing saddle mates poorly with the fuselage.

If you order one I would suggest that you carefully check all pieces for proper fit before beginning assembly.

Regards,
Bob Johnson

Dude,

An affordable approach with competitive edge.
MKS 6100 all around, maybe 378's for flaps.
HK 2221/10 - 3000KV
with Micro Edition 5:1 NL from Reisenauer's
CFK 19x8 prop, Reisenauer spinner.
Sunrise 60A ESC ( http://www.reisenauer.de/artikeldetails.php5?aid=1421 ) , the only chinese electronics I use. no need for an external BEC.
TP 3S LIPO 1800mAh 65C.

Good to go.

André
