Tom,

very nice video, of a very nice submarine. looks like we will be able to have at least a pair, if not 3 or 4 of 1/72 scale skipjack class submarines at next year's regatta.

I agree nice video, and the sub looks great. Nice job Tom! I like it coming out of or disappearing into the 'fog' of the water. Nice effect.

You'll find more builds over on the Sub-Driver forum.

Still a sub that is available from two resources, Revell and Moebius (although harder to find). It still is a build I would HIGHLY recommend if you are a first timer or not. Fun sub. I am currently helping my 10 year old son build his first sub, the 1/232 scale Skipjack.

I've been around rc subs all my life Dad is scratch builder and has 1/48 scale type 7 kit that he put a lot of detail and effort into and it's one of those dkmodles that is very rare on here , looking at those pics reminds me of those days. I have the revel 1/72 type 7 I was thinking of doing the same thing minus the exteme detail ,will be my first rc sub

I have not been around subs all my life, about 3 years only. That being said, I have read about your fathers type VII and look forward to seeing yours being built. Not going crazy on details is wisdom on the first sub. Get it working first then add details if you want.
If there is anything I can do to encourage you or help, let me know.
