I don't know what you covered the Empire with but it looks perfect. Great work, and a beautiful rendition of the Empire, to join the ever growing fleet.

Paul ,

my idea : finish the model completly and remove all lipo's , then check how much weight is needed t get the cg right and decide wich lipo pack to use. Better on lipo and a seperate ubec.

Cheers,

Bart

1900mah for the fuselage lights sounds like a pretty big pack. You must have some really big lights.

Hi Bart,

Almost ready.
Still working on transport crate. Received lipo to-day from HK Netherlands. Second lipo will come from Hong Kong.
When checking the aircraft I discovered the 4 engines are not in line, and
have to make minor adjustments. Finish the window water-proofing this evening
and than it is waiting for the better weather....... The taxi tests will follow Saturday at Den-Bosch exhibition because the forecast is promising us that we can expect a sunny Saturday.

Regards Paul

To-day I finished the transport crates.

Last items to finalize the Empire:
- Sealing port side windows
- Check CG and glue the lipo-holder into it's place
Hope she is ready in time to-morrow to take her to the lake as we expect excellent weather.

Hello everyone ,

Today Pauls's Quantas Cooee had its maiden flight. I made a trip to his flying location to be present. It was very cool to witness the maiden of his beautifull build flyingboat. The Cooee flies really well. Made some flights with the prototype too. I have made a video of the maiden and i shall upload it to youtube later.

Below are some picture's. I made some closeup shots to show-off Paul's detail work.
