Welcome to the Multiwii world which is truly exiting!

About

- "so level acc would keep my plane hovering"

I'm afraid you have the same thought as I had :-) It will not do that. Level mode (despite using the acc term here) will get your plane leveled if you enable it. I.e in level with the horizon.

For the hovering you will need to throttle yourself and, depending a bit on how much compensation you enable you will probably need to do some stick exercises to keep it hovering. But it will certainly be much easier

ok thanks for the hint

i do not hope anything about throttle... in fact i dont plan to link the throttle
channel to the MWC

i'm hopping that ounce the MWC sits flat while hovering (appropriate orientation)
, it would hold the plane pretty much steady while i manage the throttle its an easyer task compare to leveling a quad

Tested today on the field.

One word: AWESOME!

Just a little PID tuning (on the bench) and go!!

The plane seems like on rails (GYRO mode) and when switch to ACC mode the plane levels itself nicely.

With my code mod (see my RCG blog) is it possible adjust the PIDs attenuation via a slider from my radio so you can set the right amount of PID's in every flight condition without any wobble!!!

The plane is the Eaglewing (it's not the best plane around) but with the multiwii it seems like a composite plane (precision, stability and so on)

I've made the test flights in a gusty wind conditions, but the plane was rock solid!

Tomorrow some other flights and video too!!

Ciao

Luca

Video is uploading......

A couple of flights with the Eaglewing and mMWC today.

MultiWii still needs some PID tuning (the eaglewing is not the best FPV plane IMHO) but it's on the right way!

I've tried to fly the plane at a slow pace.

In this way I've been able to test the effectiveness of the gyros/accs stabilization.

Later I'll post the complete MultiWii configuration with PID values too.

And the Dynamic PID attenuation works great!!

Ciao

very good, Luca.
you just have a typo.
it's mMWC, not nMWC...

otherwise looking great!

eaglewing plane looks like some sort of easystar-clone, am I right?

Yes, the Eaglewing is a sort-of easystar clone but with not the same flight characteristics

Sorry for the typo!

Ciao

@Luca: can you please correct the type on youtube and the posts?
i will link the video to the first page then and as you are one of the first 3 persons provided a video, you will get a mMWC for free.
I will send it to the same address as the one you purchased initially!

best regards from vienna,
christian

I tried to make a video the other weekend having my stuff installed. The guy shooting was not that very familiar with video cameras. He tried to shoot with a flat battery :-) On top of that, I managed to crash the stuff, prop hanging then a pilot error, right into the mud..If I get the time...
