V Shark v tail

I always liked the results of glow v tail planes of past so why not make one out of a Nanoplanes Speed Shark.
Ohh, but this one will not just have a v tail, but a host of changes.. a real kit bashin' for sure!
The target auw of 20 oz will get the full might of the 3100 kv Microdan in the 25 oz 1M.
It will be silly fast(er) and even more on rails?

Tail formed and sanded.
Cutting down fuselage sides.
Old wing is helping for references.
I think this one will be special...

Moving along..
Framed up a bit.
Will get "stinger" tail extension, triangle stock for rounding all the way back, and a mini bottom fin.
I'm getting excited.

Next up.. T Shark!
I wanted to show in video how good of a rudder effect the V can generate.. stall turns, spins, and other gyrations come to mind.
Also, if for any reason there is a tendency to pull in any direction when HARD on the elevator, it can be tuned via "elevator differential."

Good question..

Yes. Put 3/4" at the base of two stock vertical fins.
Set at 57 degrees.

The main wing panel gets an extra front spar.
Thin ca soaked into the wood and carbon makes it ready for big time.

This is the usual planing mess..
At least it is not dusty.
...like the mounds of dust that comes off next when I sand.
These wings benefit from an internal leading edge gusset...
Sorry no pic, but the gussets are 3/8" x 1/8" balsa glued at the leading edge, and panel shaped between ribs.
This allows aggressive sanding on the bottom l.e. airfoil with no worries of over-thinning the structure or easily crushing the l.e.
Also stiffer!
The 1800 pictured is super compact and can take the amps.. and fortunately does not puff.
A good thing as the fuse is shrunk to barely fit the 1" wide part (11/4" thick)
