your spot on I tested it WOT for 10 secs and all seems ok no bad smell loss of power or magic smoke . the aircraft it.s going in is going to about 2.8 kg all up so max power wont be used much. Gyro controlled TV so maybe the odd blast vertical.

I'll definitely post my own thread for the F-35B build. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

4stripes, do you have any data on the performance of the X-Flight motor?

I have one in a jetfan 90 I don,t think any other shrouds go to 41mm.
thx, from the specs which are now provided by HK this seems even bigger than the Align, they claim 230g and 43mm diameter now

Just ordered a pair of fans with the 1600kV motors from X-Flight. Keeping this thing light and relatively inexpensive seems like a good idea since it'll be a very experimental airplane. I'll link to the F-35B thread once I start one.
