Simulator and Wind (G2)

I've been using RealFlight G2 for about a couple of weeks and must say I love it. My main focus at this point are landings. I can land the PT pretty well and I'm playing around with other planes.

I would like to incorporate wind (which I'm not using right now) to practice, but have no idea how much is enough (or too much). What do people use for wind settings normally? IIRC (I'm not at home now,) G2 has wind speed, max gusts, direction, and direction variability controls.

Thanks in advance!

Well, it depends on how strong you want the wind. Normal wind speed is around 5-10mph, but that depends on where you fly in real life. In 30mph winds no one in there right mind (apart from gliders) would consider flying (in real life)...

Hey, you're talking about me! I've flown in 30 mph winds before.

I'll admit it wasn't much fun.

And, ok, I'm probably not in my right mind...

...what was my point again?
