Help!
AT3511 750Kv Outrunner Brushless Motor

Hello,
I crashed my TOP RC FW-190 the other day and bend the motor shaft, when I attempted to straighten it I broke it at the threads! Can the shaft be replaced or is there something that can be attached to what remains or do I need to buy a new one?

Thanks in advance,
GJS

Easy, peasy!

Here is a good source for shafts that can be easily modified or cut to length if needed:

They even tell you how to install them:

It looks like it was made by the same people that made the DAT-750...

See if this helps you:

hexTronik DT750 Motor Rewind for Multicopter - www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1892195

Do you want me to take it apart for you?

Thanks Jack, it looks like the shaft is part of the housing. I ordered a new one!
If you were closer I just might have you do it!

Maine is pretty close to New Jersey.

There should be a set screw on the side of that raised area that the shaft emerges from, with that screw removed (1.5mm hex wrench needed) the shaft is a pressed fit into the dome. Work carefully as I described at the links to press the old shaft out without damaging the dome or magnets.

I put a shorter shaft in those motors and use prop savers on them or set screw or collet type prop adapters. Those threaded shafts are just not worth a darn for mounting props.
