I've got a nice little lake right next to where I'm staying for the holidays- so plenty of time to do ROW flights. I'll try and get a few videos to demonstrate the control maneuverability with the water rudder, provided the wind calms down.

some good caps, I think the U.S. Home Depot is now importing them from Canada. They were features on the Dragon's Den entrepreneur reality show here. Look for them in the same isle.

Soo... water rudder tore off on the first flight. I suspect that the CA I had securing the pinion to the floats wasn't strong enough. Next time I'll be inserting the rod through the foam to make it removable and less likely to fail.

Does anyone know where to find spare mounting hardware? I'd like an extra set of the clamps that screw into the rear mounting bracket to hold on the floats.

Are these available to be purchased or do they only come with the plane?

I know they come with the floats.

but you can easily make some out of abs, nylon or some other plastic, just drill or melt a couple of holes in each one for the screws.

I'm using these floats on my Sport Cub S without them, though... the wire fits snug enough into the groove.

That's how I've got them now- I've just had the prop slice through the float before from the back popping off and wanted to make sure I had everything secured.

Thanks for the info!
