Which heli now?

I'm going to purchase another machine and I'm looking for some advice, if you'd be so kind.

I have 2 FX071Cs, a Blade 200SR-X and a Blade 230S.

I've had all the WLToys helis I'm ever going to buy, so I'm looking for something round about the same size as the 230, must be flybarless and not cost a stupid amount of cash.

I've zero interest in 3D flying and I'm not wanting a scale model.

Any tips?

Pauly

It is a fine, fine heli....specially if you upgrade the three plastic gear servos to metal gear servos...a must in my case since I was crashing a lot at the time....I later upgraded the main motor to brushless and the improvement was noticeable...the latter upgrade not necessary but NICE.....the other good option, imo, is the Align 250 DFC Plus....less sturdy than the Master, and a lot more expensive!

I think I'll go for the Master.

Are the spares readily available?

Because of the total inadequacy of my national postal system, I bought mine at helipal which allows me to choose the more expensive DHL carrier service....just checked their site and spares are readily available...metal gear servos 7.6.9 at 14.90 usd each....the plastic gear servos are 7.6.6, were only a couple of dollars cheaper...

I can only agree with the Master CP. Very nice heli with the MG servos! Flies very predictably, super stable. Some people in the MCP thread call it a "flying tank"
Last crash was from 20 feet, inverted, on grass: no repairs!!!!!!! Unbelievable.

Yes, it reminds me of a flying tank.....reminds me of the A-10 airplane....

Yes.....but only walkera helis or quads.....for use with other helis you need deviation...and for that you need a Devo 8s or Devo 10.... Some time ago, the devo 7 added 50 usd to the price, and the Master was 150 usd....retail, new...BNF

+1 on Devo 7 good only for Walkera. Good TX but hard to program. RTF will be no problem. I still use my original Devo 7. Plus use a Devo 8s also.
Devo 7 will fly anything Devo Walkera mades.

If you enjoy building a 450 kit is something you might enjoy. That's possibly my next step up from the 230s

I prefer not to build from the start. If past experience is anything to go by, then I'll have it to bits for repairing soon enough

Bnf/rtf for me. Anyway, my master cp should be here today!
