Care of google translate:
"The equality is progressing ! Also F3K is female . Information on our new DLG SALPetra who is the sister of our well known saltpeter , there is here shortly."

TUD is obviously trying to promote equality with this model. It would be nice to support that and not be sexist about it.

Personally I have always thought women belong at DLG events...........

We see them between rounds in boxing all the time, they are involved in football and many other sports.....

On the other hand when they launch higher than most will we have to hand over our man card.......

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, Mike.

Check out this video:
F3K 2014 Vercelli ET 12 13 04 S (11 min 51 sec)

It's really nice to see a woman competing!
Also at the WC in Ludbreg there was a female pilot who got my girlfriend interested in DLG. Thumbs up!!

Have a nice weekend! Georg

I was being serious. I honestly feel that it doesn't help encourage female pilots to join in if we joke about any mention of 'femaleness' in DLG.

But, as Roy pointed out, joke might be on all of us if that was a April fools posting!

It's not a joke, I've spoken with Martin Herrig in Croatia and asked him about a new model, he told me that there is something on the way

Being a family "team" of 2 guys and 2girls... all of us enjoy F3K events but only the guys are interested in flying.

Hayley has always timed for me, but has never flown a model, caught a thermal etc... but can spot lift and read air better than most.

As for a new TUD model... very exciting as they are always groundbreaking.

The woman in the video above looks to have really nice launch technique. I recall seeing photos of a German woman in competition a few years back- I'm wondering if this is her.
