There was the same problem at the JR Indoor event when the blimp was used. I managed to stop a couple of guys from stomping on two great airplanes that were scale planes. David Payne and Jason Knoll's.

I believe the sponsors have now donated pilot prizes that are awarded via tickets being drawn or something like that. The Blimp is neat, really cool to see fly and a few people have landed Vapors and Champs on it as I recall.

The blimp was missing last year due to the pilot not being able to attend. It'll be back this year, with some guidelines as to where to fly or not.

The Scale Contest has a 12oz limit and the combat a 10oz. I for one dont know of a limit for "normal flying".

We try to keep the weight restrictions to 16oz, due to inertia and the close proximity of the spectators. This is all dependent on the type of aircraft and wing loading.

The heli size has been reduced to 130 or smaller. The safety concerns dictate that the heli smackdown be eliminated. Too many close calls in the past.

I heard that the ultra-micro flying area is not set up this year, and instead there is a R/C *CAR* race track there. Can someone confirm this? If so, what gives?
