Question
Where can I get a adaptor and pinion gear?

This is what I have.

Scorpion 2221-10
Maxon 4.4 gear box P22 (22mm)

I guess I need a adaptor and a pinion gear.
Can anyone tell me where to get the correct parts (in the USA hopefully)?
.

Your best bet is Neu motors,

http://www.neumotors.com/Site/Gear_Drives.html

they can help you , if you tell them the bolt circle diameter (on motor) and thread pitch of the motor.
You may have to trim back the length of the motor shaft, then grind a flat spot on the shaft for the pinion. A special tool may be required to mount the pinion.
If the gear box you have now is even compatible at all. You may end up buying a whole new gear box from Neu Motors, just to get one that will fit your application..
here is a picture of some of the components that went into the build of a Bullet warmliner I fly now. You can see the Neu motor, 1105/2.5Y/with the 4.4 Maxon gearbox on the front. I think this is the same Maxon P-22 gearbox you have.
It might be easier for you to just buy one of these motor/gearbox combos from Neu Motors..

Yes good thought. Here is my email to NEU(I doubt I will get any response) so I am looking for alternatives.

I just purchased a Maxon 4.4 gear box P22 from you (NEUTRONICS?: Invoice #0000000 XXX).

Your site description is
"
The popular Maxon4.4-1 gear drive set is available. It comes with a pinion gear to fit 3.2mm shafts.
Included are adapters to fit many smaller motors like our 1100 series with 19mm bolt spacing.
This gear drive is suitable for use up to 500 watts. Output shaft is 4mm.
"

I received the gearbox. No pinion gear. No adaptors. Can you send me the pinion gear to fit 3.2mm shafts and the adaptors (I am putting it on a Scorpion 2221-10).

Give them a phone call? 858-674-2250

Frankly, if I were you I would return the Maxon Gearbox for store credit (it is missing parts) and then just buy a Neu motor/ gearbox combo.
Neu 1105/2.5Y/ 4.4 . You'll get flying a lot sooner

Count on 5 to 8 weeks for delivery from Neu. That has been my experience - 3 different times.
