Been looking for the 500 mah li-po with no luck..
E-flite has one, but looks like a different connector.
So, the question from this newbie is, what are the names or types of connectors? What does the Champ have?

i have seen other 500 mAh batteries with it think JST (the little red ones with 2 wires on them) and i think that the champ uses a UM or ultra micro plug

I'll sell my rare...hard to find...collectible...super-performance Tenergy 3.7v 500mah battery for $100...or trade for a NIB Airfield P-47 rtf.

Try the Hyperion cells. Their 180 & 240 mAh UM cells already have the connector. With the bare 320 mAh cell, it's easy to solder your own pigtail with pre-attached UM connector. A bare 320 cell is only $4 USD. Hyperions are the best-performing cells available, and they're especially superior in the cold. Thunder power 500mAH 1 cell lipo for $10, it's pretty easy to change the connector, or buy/make an adapter.

Hey...I still haven't received my GWS props yet, (and the Ebay seller has ignore my last 3 emails) but I was looking at pics of the hole in the middle...looks like 3mm. Am I gonna need an adapter to fit it on my Champ?

The hole in the GWS 5030/5043 props is 4mm. You'll need a 4mm adapter that fits a 1.5mm shaft. RCBabbel is using a really slick collet-style adapter (nylon, I believe) that is reasonably light; but I don't recall the the brand. I'm using the spinner below on the Champ. It's heavier than some of the others, but my Champ was a tad tail-heavy anyway.





Some people like these wooden inserts. They're very light - well under 0.1g. Some say that they need to be glued into the prop hub:

Well, looks like we got a big snow, and a first WHITE Christmas here in NC since 1947 (white christmas)

So, I would like to take my Champ out and video (on-board) the snow. Taking off is no problem, as I just throw by hand. But what about landing? Camera and plane would dive into snow. Looks like it would certainly mess up camera, and possibly getting trash into nose of plane.

I dont really care to make ski's, as that would be my best bet, but no time to make them. Any ideas on how to get this plane down with no harm to cam or plane in the snow?

Catch it by hand...or float in in a head wind to drop it straight down...right off the deck.
