At least with any Spektrum Rx I have dealt with, and this one as well, needed the pins shorted first, before powering the Rx |

It just seemed confusing to me at first anyway. |

I keep my throttle trim 5 clicks below neutral on all my planes--as safety measure--so if I bump throttle--or if I mean to put it all the way down--but don't--the throttle remains off.
some planes (or ESC to be more precise) need the throttle calibrated so that throttle has full range--and starts before 1/2 thottle. This plane did not. If throttle trim is ALL way down--I suppose you might not ever reach WOT. |
