Original 4-Site Motor from HK?

Just bought the original large blue 4-site from my LHS for $40. I ordered the AR6300 but I'm wondering if there is any options from HOBBYKING or inexpensive motor / esc combination that will work for me. I'm new to the building hobby. If all else fails I'll spend the dough on the E-Flite 250 2200kv outrunner and 10amp esc.. Just hoping that someone out there has tried a less expensive route.

Go with a quality motor like the Hacker A10-15. Or 9L. They are both less money than the E-flight park 250, and the E-flight park 250 is junk. I went through two of them and both broke. Hacker motors are some of the best you can get and will last you a long time.

I do agree that Hacker Motors rule. But they are not necessary. Despite what others say, Hobbycity stuff isnt that bad, if smashed my HC motors in the ground tons of times, still works great. Most people are going to try and turn hobbycity down in this hobby, but trust me, i used their stuff all the time when i was learning

Also, there is a 250 clone that is pretty exact to the E-flite Park 250-

^My friend ordered a bunch of these and say they work great.

I have never ordered from Hobbyking, and do not wish to any time soon, but if you are trying to save some money I would suggest checking out 2dogz r.c. they carry some cheeper motors and I have bought some things from them before and the shipping was fast.

I think you should look around a little and see if you can find a cheaper motor you can buy in the U.S. shipping would not be as long and I bet customer support would be a lot better than china. I have heard that the duelsky motors work really good.

I looked up the $61 combo you mentioned. The motor it comes with is the chrome chaos, It is a cheep off brand motor. It is $15 when bought alone, I have not used one but have seen one in person before and it looked like it was built nice. As for the speed control and battery I would not go with that battery, I would buy something like the thunder power 320mah 45c 2cell battery it runs for around $17, or check out Hyperion batteries on all e rc. And for a speed control I would suggest a castle creation Thunderbird 9 amp speed control they run for around $24-$26. Hope this info helps.

Wow there are so many options. The thing I like about the 2dogz is the combo. Which for NOOBS, like me, it means THESE WILL WORK TOGETHER JUST FINE! I'm reading up on different options, and learning alot so I'm sure I can figure out which esc and battery will work and everything. I like PVTs cheap HK ideas above for this project, too bad its back ordered.

I ordered a reciever from hobbyking about a week and a half ago, will see how much longer it takes to come from hong kong. There website is so cluttered its hard for me to figure out which parts are coming from which warehouse. I selected United States on the front page, but still seem to find products from Hong Kong warehouse.

If you are bit more flexible on price, the Motrolfly DM2203-1350 would likely be a great motor for the 4site:

I believe they are talking about the 32" 4-Site not the micro.

I concur on the Turnigy/Suppo 2204 motor suggestion, great motor.
