The HS-55 is cheaper, but you will be replacing gear sets on them. If you look at the HS-55 the wrong way the gears will strip, and the gear sets add up.

The Ion DS57MG is an amazing servo the torque is comparable to the DS09, and it has strong metal gears. It is an amazing servo that we are using in our DLGs, Speedos, and small electrics. We are going to be posting a sale with these servo and the Speedos in the next few minutes. Keep an eye out for that sale.

That flight was the test flight, so it was not set up yet. It was still amazing how well it flew with that bad of a set up :-)

Actually the ION servos are built specifically for us with higher quality motors, and electrical components. Tested at the manufacture and at our shop to insure reliability.

Divide oz/in by 13.88 to get kg/cm.

22 oz/in is about 1.6 kg/cm.

Thanks. That's a good figure for such small servos.

But if God wanted us to be metric, why did she give us feet?

Does anyone know what thickness (thinness?) servo is needed for the ailerons?

So we'd spend our money on Chinese shoes!
