Anyway, these things have been all over the papers and news here, to me they just seem a bit gimmicky, in a lot of the pictures they do not show the jetski that powers the unit and to a certain extent, that does limit them, having to drag that unit about.
I supose if you already have a jetski, then adding the rest is not too bad, but otherwise, no, it don't work for me.

I will stick to doing donuts on the river outside the pub with my Bic 213 and my 1973 yamaha 2 horse outboard.

Raw power mate

I am going to extent the outboard handle so I can sit further forward to try and stop the front lifting so much when I open her up.

I saw something on the Discovery Channel that looked even more fun - a flying fish - price was about 60K USD - this thing was an enclosed speedboat with fins for jumping and diving!

But in the cider thread you said donuts were only to be found in the stores.

Kind of reminds me when I was a 'kid'... ho boy here we go...

I used to race sailboats, Hobies, off a beach in Miami. Jet Skis were just getting popular. We came to call them "Jerk Skis" as it seemed as though everyone that owned them were jerks.

Well one day a jerk lost control showing off for whatever reason. Going like 20 knots in about 12 inches of water. Of course he lost it, the ski sledded up onto the 'half water line' and popped a hole about 10x10 in the side of one of the boats. Angers flared, lawsuits ensued.

But the best part was when the 'Jerk" got caught in a traffic jam leaving, still fuming one would presume... after all who put that beached boat in front of him!... But I digress.

Stuck in traffic the guy driving a nice Willy's jeep pulling a trailer with two JS's decided to take a short cut around traffic on the hill curb of a bridge. No lie it was like 30 degrees. Well sure enough he rolled the entire rig, Jeep, Trailer, Skis et all right on top of some brand new cars.

Sometimes things just work out right.

ps; after that incident the CG put up bouys that the skis had to stay outside of, but.. the beach was never the same.
