Photo 4 shows the retracts that I use in the A-4. I can't find them anymore, shame. Oh the nose gear does not have steering, although I have already figured out how to modify them. These and other similar gears can be easily modified to make them rotate 90 degress so the wheels will lie flat inside the wing when retracted, I didn't do it here due to the weight constraints. I'll be happy to share my findings if anyone is interested.

I purchased the 1700 thru DMA a Vendor here on E-Zone, The 1700's cps will result in shorter flights , But at a half a pound less will turn it into a fast plane ... Also I removed the rudder servo since I noticed no adverse yawing , Flies great at the CG & control settings suggested by Jean Paul

Enjoy the Scooter

Uncle Joe,

Did you use zapped cells in your Jepe ? By the way, thanks for the tip on getting my cells. Also, the c.g. measurement in the instruction, did you take the measurement at the centre of the wing or at the wing root ?

The final touches on my Jepe A-4. The Road runner art and the name of the pilot is from a website I found. I also ordered some Li-polymer batteries to try out. Lets you guys know how it works out.

Wallet zapping vs LiPo suction

Very nice detailing. How did it fly with the LiPo cells, did you get as much power as with the NiCd's ? Perhaps you can post a video here of one of your flights.

Great Looking! Love the graphic details. Interested to hear your results on th LiPo's. I did not have the guts or the wallet to give them a try.

Your A4

Willerbee,
Your A4 looks phenominal!!!!!!
I can imagine the effort you put into detailing it.
I really look forward to getting mine done and flying.
Regarding batteries I am flying the sanyo 2600NiMH in my hotliner and I am very impressed. The voltage characteristics are higher than the cp2400 and the extra capacity does not hurt either.

Will commence ground testing of LiPO before committing to flight !

hoser, the struts are 1/8" thick, i did them a bit longer so it appears skinny, should hold o.k. but landings atill have to be close to perfect !! The panel lines are done with a Sharpie on the molded panel lines, the letterings are sprayed on.Would liked to have the wet transfer decals used by the RC jet set but too long of a wait. The decals are very scale.
