UH-1B Hueys

I'm a Vietnam vet interested in building a Huey. Is there a Huey fusalage to fit an electric helicopter? Want larger size like a Joker or a Logo 16 or Logo 20 or Echo 16.

I found a Century .60 size gas scale kit. Will it work with the above sized electric helicopters? Or is there a smaller sized Huey fusalage out there to fit the above sized helicopters?

Can anyone help me with this?
Thankyou.

I believe that the Joker will fit & work quite nicely in the Century UH-1 fuse... I plan on doing one of their UH-60's on my Joker CX...

I have one but it is on a piccolo. It really looks great, though!

Welcome to the EZone Jim!!

Both the Logo 10 and 20 are very close to 30 size helis.

The problem is the Huey has a low mount tailboom, and most EP helis have mid fuse to upper fuse mounted tailbooms.

The Whisper is an exception though, but finding a fuse for it may be tuff.

I have a Standard Joker that a good friend is building a UH1 From. He has flown them for over 30 years and has over 11,000 hrs fight time logged. Still flies them 5 days a week. The Joker makes an excellent heli for scale because all of the mechanics of this helicopter are in one small upper frame package That can be separated into 2 parts easily. The tail rotor drive pulley can be placed at different heights on the shaft makig for easier tail rotor set-up, and the batterries can be configured to fit most any fuselage. This Helicopter will prove to be one of the best scale powerplants available because of this versatility. There will probably be a Nitro version of this heli in the future making it popular even with those who still don't accept electrics. Get One, you won't be sorry.

totalboss, I guess you can get it anywhere piccolo parts are sold. They sell it at www.hobby-lobby.com for $99. That includes the more powerful 310 motor. I love the looks of it and it flies very stable with it. I like to push the envelope with the piccolo and try new things but you can't do that with this canopy because you can screw it up bigtime in a crash. It is more for scale flying. I don't have it on there anymore and I'm thinking about selling it.
