Yippee!
Building my FuntanaMini

Didier, a fellow flyer here in Holland designed this full-fuse 3D plane based on the outlines of Tim Hart's 3DX (thanks Tim...)

Wingspan is 90 cm, estimated AUW 280 gr/10 Oz with Typhoon Micro 6 brushless and 2s1p Irate 1100

After receiving a copy of his plans I started building....

First I made templates for cutting the 3mm Depron and started cutting the fuselage...

Here's a build up wing on top of Didier's plans

Bottomwinghalf (3mm Depron) with a 4mm Carbonrod gluid on and 3x5mm balsa, on top of this another winghalf, so the flat wing will be 9mm thick and very solid and light

Plans are handdrawed and copied, only available by snailmail....
Lost Didier's emailadres though, I will ask him by PM on the Dutch forum if he is willing to send them abroad...
Maybe I can cut the plan in several lettersize parts and scan them, making a tiled pdf, never done that but should be possible,
I will ask Didier what he thinks about that,

Peter

Hello.

Peter asked me if he can scan the drawing of the Funtana mini .
I have no problems with this.

This airplane is my second version of the mini and is totally redesigned, all the mistakes and nasty couplings are history!
The airplane is totally couplings free.
The airplane is a great allrounder, at the moment I fly indoor with the mini but also outdoor it is a great performer.
He is very 3D capable but he is also very precise. (pattern)
Torquerolling is very easy with this airplane, nice roll rate.
I have 2 aileron servo's in the wing so I can use "contra flaps" (elevator stick coupled to the ailerons).
The loops are very very small!!!
I have a great movie of the mini flown by our top pilot in Holland Derk, but I don't know how I can place it on the web.
