I used the one AC linked. All in did was define motor stop, ppmsum,
and hack the cam trigger function to toggle leds on/off via A2.

Just want to be sure it's not a mixing table that is wrong.
I guess not.

It flies, quite Stable and well behaved actually, it's just the one esc going nuts.
Still wondering if using simonk needs something changed in the multiwii firmware though..

I seen this before, my crab quad caught fire because of it..
I really hate that coated motor wire stuff, almost impossible to solder.
Do you know how to get the lacquer off so I can make a good solder weld?

You need to sand the wire prior to solder it.
Yes.. i don't like them too...

You don't need anything in Multiwii, The simonk is only a faster refresh rate on the ESC.

I scraped it with a box cutter until it turned white copper colored.
I guess that wasn't enough. Hovering at well past half stick sucks though.

Only one gets hot? why don't you swap it with another to see if it's still hot? this can eliminate esc or motor problem.

Hi All

Just wanted to introduce myself. I was the guy fortunate enough to snag the one Rifraf sold in the classified. Using tech69x settings with the kk2 board, I was able to succesfully hover it a bit today. I had an issue using the prop setup it came with but I swapped them all for 9x47s and shes good.. theres a bit of tweaking still but it flew fine. I did flash the board to v1.5 and the only difference was that the motor direction was opposite from the post.. Otherwise. using the given values for the mixes, it worked fine..

I gotta say that this is an awesome looking rig.. I almost dont want to fly it... Almost

That's what I use now is just looked like the lights were in a closer grouping, more per strip.
