Stroland- My Stryker has a Mega 16/30/2 with a CC125 ESC. I run two Rhino 2250 40C 4S batteries in parallel. This setup with a 7X4 or 7X5 APC sport prop gives me 83AMP WOT at 1300watts. A five cell setup will give me the max for that motor and ESC with speeds in the neighborhood of 140. I haven't gone to 5S yet. Next Spring!
Right now I have been diverted from my Strykers by this interesting little plane. I am hoping to eventually push this plane to it's limits and built it super strong for the later speed runs. I started on a second one from scratch today and nearly have the fuz done. I have five motors to test in it at this time which should keep me buisy!!! |

I ran it on 6s with an ARC 28-47-2 with a 6x4 prop. Speeds were in the 140-145 range if memory serves. It launched like a log though because the wingloading was 32 oz/ft/ft Im shocked that poor little wing never snapped!

Man that is a huge battery....wonder if I could get my monster Mega in it? I might super overpower the one I'm building now and see if I can get it into orbit. I've heard some pretty good things about those ARC motors...and the price is right to.

A blue one!
Hi all,
Here is my slipso400 in blue suit. First of all, I was surprised when i saw the AUW : 192 gr with a 2S2000 mah! motor : emax FC2805 kv 2800 batterie : 2s2000mah (for the first flight) prop : EMP 5x5 ==> ~65 W The first flight was stressfull, but allmost everthing was right. I needed 10 clics of trim on aileron, altough the lateral balanced was fine... ? The plane is not speedy on 2s, this afternoon i'll try on 3s with 4.1x4.1 EMP. The response of elevator and aileron are not "agressive", i think it is because of the "low speed". the CG was at 25mm af the TE. next step : 3S! Clément |

Clement95- Hey...it's a great day when a maiden flight ends with the plane in one piece ready to fly another day!!!! Well done!
The clicks of aileron are probably because....... I dont see how to make this wing without a tad of warp somewhere which, whether it is balanced or not that warp is going to cause multiple clicks of trim. wastegates wing warped and mine warped some as well. I think Paul's method of using the laminating film in the manner that he applies it might be the key to a no warp wing. Or bagging the wing but I don't know how to do that yet but that is in the near future. I just noticed that my elevator surface has warped. Looked great when I finished it then 48hours later.....warp! I am going to cut it off and find a piece of plastic today as a matter of fact on my second one the entire tail (stab, fin, elevator, rudder) are going to be plastic. |

My wing is a lot better now
In the end I did use Solarfilm on my horizontal stab but to get it straight I had to reheat it with a gun and then keep it compressed between two sheets of wood. Straight as can be now.

thanks!
I already flight it on 3S! this is fast, but i need more ![]() my poor motor+batteries combo! the batteries was too small (3s800mAh), so the amp and volt went down fast... tomorrow an other try on 3s1600mAh... this thing is so stressful to fly! I will read through the thread to find a good cheap combinaison of motor+prop! Good design! Clément |

zero trim adjustment on a scratch build is very rare, even more on a fast plane, which need to be VERY straight!

Reached into my scrap balsa box a couple of days ago and......out popped another Slipso.....this one will get an inrunner!
![]() Does anyone know the wing and tail incidences? This is my first scratch build and that is the one thing I'm worried about.
