Mig I have this fan coming in a day or 2. I'll see if it's any good and let you know http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...e_2.5inch_64mm My buddy picked a motor for it and I can't remember what it is.( I think it was the HXT 2835 3900 kv) But I'll find out and get some performance tests done and then I'll know what battery is enough.

This plane is going to use 64mm fans? or is it bigger and will use 70mm ? I just went back and you say it will be 90mm is that gonna be a twin 90mm. You're gonna need a big battery if it is.Or 2 batteries. Maybe you could scale it down to twin 64mm fans and equip it cheaper. I have this 89mm fan but it is heavy http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...ink_Assembled_

64 mm?? 70 mm?? 90 mm??
64 mm I think is to little.
90 mm mi dream but it will became to expensive. 70 mm Not to little not to big not that expensive Since the start I was thinking 70mm or 90 mm??????? What size a 70 mm twin engine will reduce the amount of resources. my wife as give me resources for all the jet needs servos engines for I think will be sufficient. As a prototipe I will analise resources, with a 70 mm scale dawn the plane if the plane works as I desing maybe i will do the 90 mm I will think to change from 90 mm to 70 mm Last edited by Mig29; Nov 12, 2009 at 02:50 PM. |

That's gotta be a electronic counter measure probe to foil radar and such.

Got the 64mm fan it's 7 bladed and seems fairly good quality. A HET 2 W 20 motor fits it but I've had to order a 3.17 mm adaptor for the motor . Here's the fan with some reviews http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store...e_2.5inch_64mm. I'm gonna put it in a Free Wing F-15 from Hobby Lobby http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/show...25&postcount=2

Hey Mig 29,
a flight buddy has this 77mm EDF (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=4239) and a motor similar to that one: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=7993 in his F-5. It is an awesome sound, just hissing air, no high pitch screaming. He spent some time on balancing it very well. It takes 50A at 4S. Your bird seems to get big, too big for me. But I like your design so far. Have to replace my pusher Su-37 (w.retracts) one day with a real EDF redesign. So I'm watching very interested. |

I did a pusher outta the J Power Eurofighter much lighter and more manuverable than a twin 64mm EDF. This is my favorite picture of it http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/show...5&postcount=25
