Good suggestion on the flybar.. I did notice the new one was a little tight and probably should have run some emery cloth on the ID to smooth it out.. I did put a dab of lube there so I'm hoping it will wear itself in but this could very well be the problem. After struggling to put the thing all back together, I don't look forward to taking it apart again. I think I'll run a few dozen flights on it and see if it loosens up.. The new tail rotor does indeed make the angry bee sound the original USED to make. I didn't throw the old one out so I'll try and bend some more pitch into it and try it again sometime. I also notice now that the heli doesn't want to hold heading quite as nice as it used to. If I add just a touch of left rudder it continues left until I correct right, then it keeps going right. Trim is spot on. Very touchy now, maybe because of increased tail rotor authority. Changing one little thing on these little things makes a HUGE difference in how they fly.

Man with the tic, So true. Takes so little to have a big effect. Ever tried this simple tape mod. About three wraps around the shafts of the lower links that ride in the Anti-Rotation Collar. Really smoothed out my mSR to get rid of that extra slop. Ended all the wandering in hover. rc

I am Loven the look of the microheli alum frame, head collar and anti rotation collar. The grips I don't want and the swash I am not sold on either. When is the frame supposed to be released? Does anyone know?
Ps, I have been doing some detailing and will have pics up soon hopefully |

I took appart my mSR for a tune up and noticed that the ball bearings are asymetrical (on one side they are covered and on the other the balls are exposed).
In what direction should they be? Thanks |

I have read bad things about the grips and swash, bit good about retaining collar and head. Those parts I would prob get; the jury is still out on the frame though
QUOTE=spudandretti;13659249]http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=7211 . Good luck, thats what there hoping people say. Don't have one, but can't think it will help out in any way but make it a little shinier . http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=7204 Bud[/quote]

Ok, I have an MSR on the way. I have been reading through some of this thread for awhile and have seen "TBE"...what is TBE?
And some of these upgrades cost almost as much as my bigger birds....Wow! Can't wait to get this little gem. Bill |

1) Slightly snug blade grips with slight oil on blade pivots 2) New linkage arms between flybar and rotor blades 3) Light lubrication on feathering shaft o-rings and linkage arms |

If it flys, I can kill it.

I was hunting the TBE issue for a week and tried his idea. After 30 flights it still hovers perfectly still every time. I just timed 4:33 with ZERO controller input. Brought it to 4' and just let it sit there. I did walk past it once to get a wind push more to the middle of the room... so that may have been cheating. LOL! |

Toilet bowl effect. Instead of hovering in one place it kinda goes around & around.

Okay, so I just got the msr today.
first off, this is my first "real" heli. I have been flying planes for quite a long time now but never wanted to fly a heli after seeing some epic crashes at the field and hearing how much it cost to fix most of them. I didnt really want to partake in it after hearing that. On a whim I was in walgreens and found this cheap little coaxial heli that surprisingly wasnt too hard to control but it sparked something so I looked around on this forum since I have had so much help in other places on here for planes. I ended up looking through 95% of this thread and decided on this heli to start on. I wanted to thank you guys for the mass of information I have gotten from here. Out of the box I had some pretty bad TBE and I wouldnt have known what to do about it without this thread, I know its probably a simple thing for you guys to just know to tighten the blades down a bit but I wouldnt have. anyways, Im sure this little guy is going to get some quality time in the air. Thanks all of you!
