You can find carbon pultrusions easily. My real question is how much weight savings are you thinking you can gain? Is the cost per ounce saved practical?

I am figuring about 8 ounces from the solid aluminum rod to carbon fiber. the aluminum rod feels like 6061 in weight and its not heat treated.
