I had a 4.1x4.1 on it. I need to get closer to 500 watts next.

I just got a Voodoo today from a hobby shop (no manual). It was never flown and has a Mega 16 15 3 motor with a Phoenix 45 esc, jr servos, and I need to put a rx and battery in. Where can I mount battery ? What size will fit? Do you have the aileron and elevator settings? Where is the CG? Thanks for any help.

I searched this thread for CG.
It ranges from 39 to 42 mm from leading edge. I get mine at 40mm and they fly great.

If you go through the pictures in the thread you will see how people are setting it up and where the battery (and size) can go. Personally, I would try to get an 1800 mah or so with tons of C capability. If you use a tp2100 prolite (earlier version) for size reference.....They fit pretty easily unless the aileron servos were put too far forward.

My throws are about 3 to 4mm on everything on high and about 2mm low rates.
I never had a manual for a voodoo either.

I never saw those instructions but I like it. Short and sweet.
Thanks.

Eagle815: You may see in the photos some of us did it a bit differently to get more battery in there.

Thank you! I can't wait to maiden! How are the hand launches? Half throttle, firm toss? Will it torque roll?

There are threads on the ideal launch. Personally, I do 2/3 throttle and only about 10 degrees nose high. The instructions say level throw. It is easy and hasn't ever done anything weird during my launches. Mine does almost zero roll with a 4.1 X 4.1. Or 4.1 X 4.75 for that matter.

Good luck. Are you going to do standard servo scenario for ailerons or more towards the rear setup?

Thanks for the launch tip. I don't know about the servo scenario. I will try mounting the servo all the way to the rear. What size and type battery do you use?

I have a TP Pro power 2250 3-cell in there right now and it is THE BIGGEST battery you're likely to get in there. It is with the servos mounted way back( like in the photos) and the reciever is BEHIND the elevator servo in my case. It was some work.

If you do do the aft servo thing, make sure the "plate" that holds the servos is canted down(to fit in the fuse as the fuse tapers down behind wing) also I glued my servos then had to redo because the aft servo needed to be "crooked" so as to not touch the sides of the fuse behind the wing. Again, this can be seen in the photos.

Can someone explain the mixes in the manual? Mix 1 says elevator up and down with flaps Mix 2 says throttle on/off flaps ? What are they used for?
