Studying for the PPL!
I figure that this is the place to ask the question as it doesn't seem to pertain to the topics of any other forums.
I'm planning on preparing for my PPL and I was wondering what material I should study. Ground School will begin around the first of the year, but what materials can I begin studying? I figure that it can't hurt to get a little head-start. Thanks, KP |

I'd suggest asking your instructor.

I did plan on doing this...and I will... but I was just wondering if there were any books or DVD's that someone highly recommended that could get me started. Maybe I am just anxious to get going, but I simply can't help it!
Thanks, KP |

One of the best books you can use is the "Airplane Flying Handbook" . It has a lot of valuable information in it. Also pick up a current issue of the FAR/AIM manual. It's the thick red white and blue book and has the current regs in it. Gleim books, they are red, will help you study for the written exam.
Good luck and stay with it. Robert http://www.asa2fly.com/Airplane-Flyi..._product1.aspx http://www.asa2fly.com/2010-FARAIM-P1278_product1.aspx http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/...m_private.html Last edited by Cloud Cruiser; Nov 07, 2009 at 06:50 PM. |

Thanks very much to both of you. I will have to jump on top of this here soon. Ashdec87, I hope you get back up as soon as you can. We all seem to have the busiest lives. We just have to do the best we can with what time we have left over.
Thanks again, KP |
