When you have to go back 2 years to find someone who doesn't like the software (tons of updates have been made since then), you know you're reaching.

More like an over reach!! One disgruntled user from two years ago ain't so bad. Wonder how many people have been upset with RF, Aerofly, FMS and Phoenix over the last two years?

This guy has a PC problem and would rather complain about his problem than accept the help he could get here.

Looking at the Clearview website there has been 24 updates since that review !!

To be honest, I think the original poster's intention to put people off CV has actually backfired. What has transpired is that he has had to dredge the bottom depths of the internet in order to find a couple of "reviews" that relate to a piece of software which is so far out of date it doesn't stand any credibility. Also, despite everyone suggesting the issue is probably related to his PC, he has never once responded in a positive way to any requests for technical details, but simply sticks to some presumption that all the satisfied users are wrong and his PC is fine.

Most people who might stumble on this thread when it gets lost in the archives will simply see it as one unhappy customer who wasn't willing to be flexible enough to accept suggestions and help from fellow board members, and will no doubt draw the same conclusion as we all have. His PC is not up to the requirements, or has some conflict when running CV.

Heh

I would not be a bit suprized that this might be the same person who was disgruntled 2 years ago and did nothing but Slam CV in the forums....maybe I should go back in the forums and check out those posts someone made...It was the same attitude and same kind of comments 2 years ago by one user

Every software in this world is buggie. Things just get better. Just like when people hit bottom, things just get better. Windows vista hit bottom because bugs and people hating. Now microsoft bring us window 7 to replace. Clearview when theirs bug they try and fix and even improve. To bad rcgroups erase my original stuff i said. But here, people don't sweat it.
Clearview is always updating their sim.

Man... somepeople just don't get it...

I understand your frustration, but what good is it going to do to alienate all the good and knowledgable people on this forum that can help you? I personally know exactly what you problem is because I had it myself... but I'm not going to help you...

PS.. it's a 2 minute fix....

I had Clearview for close to 2-3 years and only had problems with it, due to Trojans and SPAM. They bogged down not only Clearview but PC games as well. Freelancer was made back in '03 and IT would bogg down. No I highly doubt Clearview is to blame. Stefan has always been great about questions and concerns with Clearview.

The only reason why I had bought Realflight G4.5 was because of getting my laptop wiped. I lost my subscription to Clearview. Stefan couldn't find me in his LONG list of clients. I don't blame him for that, or Clearview. ALMOST everything I use in Realflight can be found in Clearview. Clearview is a bargain and most certainly NOT junk. If it had not been for the not so wonderful world of SPAM, Trojans, and viruses I'd still have my Clearview.

You should probably find someone who is more computer savvy than you are to examine your system before you go bashing people and their products.

In a word, Clearview is AWESOME!!!

I have used Clearview for at least 3 years and it has worked great. Help from Stefan was quick when needed (my computer's hard drive crashed, I got a new one and Stefan allowed me to download Clearview again at no cost.) My original cost Clearview was $30 IIRC...a real bargain, especially compared to the price of other sims. And, as others have pointed out, it is constantly updated and improved.

It's poor form to jump all over Clearview in a public forum before attempting to resolve the problem with Stefan.

Every forum needs an idiot...and we have ours!

I'm a happy camper with ClearView. On the few times I had problems or questions, Stefan always got back to me in a very timely manner -- second-to-none support!

Clearview is a great value for me.

Clearview are never infected with virus. But if youre computer has a virus, then sometime every genuin website u go can download more virus, but virus just tricking you and is virus is not coming from that genuin website. Virus can run in the back ground, and then its seeing the website you're visiting, then that virus would execute more commands on a safe genuin website. Virus and worms are dangerous and they can execute anytime.

No, you miss my meaning. I meant the computer itself would bogg down. Clearview couldn't operate as effieciently as it could before. It was strange too, every 30 seconds the framerates would drop and the models got jerky. Then out of nowhere the the problem would fix itself.....then do it again.

Don't I know it, I just had to have my laptop wiped AGAIN, due to a nasty virus. It infected as deep as my BIOS. A buddy of mine from work does computer repair on the side as a hobby, and had a rough time getting rid of it. Of course I got the virus because I was stupid and tried to make Windows XP look like Mac OSX Leopard. Moral of the story is, if you don't know what your doing......don't do it lol.

I just bought ClearView, and I love it. I just bought a laptop good enough to run a flight sim, and CV was my first choice. I usually get under 100 fps, but even then, I don't have any problems. Planes fly just fine....
