Macchi MB 326 "Impala"
I am trying to find decent 3 view drawings and/or plans with sections for the MB 326. If anyone has a set I could get a copy of, or knows another source where I could get them from, I would very very grateful.

Hey that's a sweet plane! Looks a lot like the MB-339. Sorry man couldn't find anything too good but here's what I did find, it doesn't have any cross sections though and it's not detailed. I hope that you find what you are looking for!

Found the plans!
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the link. It was not quite drawn correctly so I went hunting and found a great source in England for 1/72 scale plans with sections. I ordered the MB.326 pack (as well as the Avro Shackleton for a future project ) and here is what I am starting with. The next, and new, post will be my construction thread once I have drawn up some cutout pieces.Cheers, John |

MB 326 K "Impala"
I have seen your thread a few times and wondered if you came right with your MB 326. I have just started a thread myself on the Impala (SAAF) with more info.
It is a great flyer as a Parkjet Last edited by Neelss; Nov 02, 2009 at 05:03 AM. Reason: uploading photos |

I find these kind of smaller less famous jets (or any aircraft for that matter) quite interesting. The Impala II would make an excellent kit aircraft from someone like FlyFly, Windrider, Freewing etc...
Neelss, It's a shame you don't have .pdf type plans etc for your model, I'm sure it would be very popular with everyone on here, like some of the other plans threads. Australia used the 326 as a primary jet trainer in the past, but the use of the Impala II in combat operations in Africa is what I find interesting. It is just this kind of operational service that I find interesting and what attracts me to some aircraft whether from WWI, WWII, Korea or beyond. |
